Took me until 5 to get setup. Love the view. Might try and get back tomorrow afternoon?

Here's out front overlooking the old pond

And my 5 o'clock to the cut edge. (Sorry about the finger)

I've actually seen less wolf activity this year than the last few. I'm sure that has to do with one of our main packs getting mange last Fall. I know some survived, but not sure how many. The other pack (with the black wolf) I believe has moved in to take up some of the other pack's territory. Since they have more room to roam, I'm not seeing Smokey as frequently as we did last year.

Where do you expect the deer to come from in those pics Fitz?

The top pick I would expect them to come from the left, about mid photo, and cross the creek. The last pic They should come from the right and fan out into the cut.

But, they really could come from anywhere :busted:

Fitz you shooting the first buck you see or will you pass younger deer? Or will it be a 'game time decision'?

It's always a "in the moment" decision. But I'm certain that I won't shoot a 1.5 yo, and most likely not a 2.5 yo... unless he's nice and get's my heart racing :tu:

I was initially going to try and sit out tonight, but that didn't happen. The day wasn't a total loss though

What brand of sling are you using on your bow Fitz? Do you use it a lot?

I use NAP's Apache Sling. I really like it and use it every hunt. I carry in so much crap with all my hunting and camera gear, that it's essential for me.

Did you give up on the Bow Bat? I thought I would really like mine but by the time I had my bow and quiver in it, the pockets were kind of worthless.

Sent from my miracle pocket communication device.
