Good luck everyone. I will be sitting this AM out. I have a baby class until 4 :D Hope to make it out for a quick evening sit. Sent from Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1
Horrible start, should have stayed home. Might as well have swam in a pool of sweat. If my friend wasn't ride dependent I'd go home now. In stand though, not happy and nothing will come in range
cls74, today might be your day. I was going to go out this am, but my little guy has been up since 4 (with me) so for the 9th time in the 10 days of the Illinois season, I won't be out. So no matter how bad you hunt is today, it will be better than every day I have had so far. I will be watching and hoping the best for you. I am going back to bed. Good luck and be safe!
Man sounds like I'm not the only one having a tough morning, barley woke up in time to get to my stand before first light, make to my parking spot and...No release, fell out of my bag...went home, grabbed it and am in the stand now. I know i ran one off on my way to the stand. I hope he doesn't tell his friends.
2nd time out this year. Got acorns falling all over but can really only see about 50 yards. The leaves can fall any time.
Hooked up bow and climbed up. Put ratchet straps in and start pulling bow up. Rope is wrapped in step. Climb down and untangle. Back up and lift bow up, ripe comes off all nicks light. Back down and hook it up, 3rd time was the charm. Ugh, that after a half mile walk in unfamiliar terrain
Breeze starting to blow steady in favorable direction. Maybe all is not lost. Friend just had a 6 go by heading east towards the cut corn.
Just had a mature doe and two yearlings come through. Just shot a doe in the area a couple weeks ago, so I'm buck hunting now. Could have shot her though Sent from my XT1254 using Tapatalk
Just had a doe with 2 fawn at 15 yards for 10 minutes... The Momma was just a touch bigger than the button buck...gave them a pass
Well no action yet this morning. I heard movement while it was still dark but nothing once the sun came up. I was hoping this brisk morning would keep them on their feet longer Sent from my XT1080 using Tapatalk
Been up for about an hour. Temps in SE Missouri took a 20* tumble since Thursday. Squirrels are out, my son is home from college in stand with his new bow, and it is beautiful here. Just need something to walk by! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Nothing happening for me this morning. The corn field that I'm parked next to was partially harvested yesterday. I suppose the activity and the change in food has the deer moved off to a different location.
