You guys in the Carolinas please be careful near water....flooding is imminent

    Storm predictions put the storm between a 1 in a 500 and a 1 in a 1000 year storm. Flooding is imminent.

    My family experienced a 1 in 200 year storm when I was in middle school. Our entire house was consumed while we were in it and we lost nearly everything.

    BE SAFE and seek high ground.

    Current prediction is about 10" around Greenville SC. 5" around Charlotte. Matt should fall some where in between, but closer to the 10".

    This atop rain that's been falling pretty good for the past week.

    Here in northern VA we are looking at getting about 3 inches of rain or so today. Conditions aren't too bad right now but I could see another day of this causing some damage.
