I can relate having a lone wolf climber stolen. Terrible feeling when people mess with your stuff on public or private land. Hope you have no further trouble this season.
I'm sorry your gear was stolen and your stand site trifled with. However, I don't understand parts of your post. Are you saying that Missouri bowhunters can only use one of their two basic any deer bow tags before the November firearms season? I think if a bowhunter wants to kill two does before gun season they certainly can. Or they can take a doe and one buck before the gun season. But only one buck before the November firearms season and then whatever after if they still have a tag. Right? I'm not sure how you could possibly speculate on how these other hunters tagged their deer. You are accusing them of an illegal activity based on what again?
You are correct about that, I actually had a misunderstanding of the rules. I went back and re-read the regulations. I was under the impression that only one any deer tag could be used before the firearms season, so I will take back what I said about them possibly not tagging the deer properly. I still think they are the guys that stole my stuff and jacked with my stand. Whoever did that is still a scum bag.
Back in the day of permanent stands when i was about 8 or 9. Like 25 years ago. We had some wood stands on public ground. I climbed up the ladder and it snapped. It didnt break all the way but it was a close call. Someone had sawed the ladder almost all the way through.
This is where it would really be nice to have a Cellular trail camer uploading photos to the internet. Sad thing is that there would be a need to do so because of dirtbags.
Again, some morons gotta screw with other peoples stuff they work hard for. God will get those morons, maybe not today, tomorrow, etc, but its coming. I`m sorry to hear about your story, people really do suck. Hope one way or the other you find out who it is and press charges on them, or whatever else needs to be done!! Again, sorry my brother.
It could have been some knucklehead who calls himself a hunter but I wouldn't rule out the ingenuity of the anti-hunting crowd... they aren't all gray haired and using walkers....
It's not just public land. I have had 2 game cameras, 3 deer stands and 1 deer feeder stolen on different pieces of private land. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I also forgot we had some one shoot up one of our stands a long time ago. Also on private land Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I've been hunting this spot for going on six years and there have been these two stands for the whole time that I've been there. I've never seen anyone hunt this little patch of woods but me so I guess these stands have been abandoned but they aren't mine so they will stay there.
I swear I want to come up with an affordable tiny GPS unit to put on stands and cameras so these thieves can be caught.
