Well I made it out....found a spot a wanted to hunt proceeded to pull over to park and my truck just straight up sank in the sand / mud. Had to get a buddy come and pull me out which I will never hear the end of. Never set foot in the woods . If I get off around 3 again tomorrow I will give it another try.

I feel like Im sitting in all day detention in school (not that I would know)... Every second feels like a minute... every minute feels like a hour... every hour feels like a day....... But its bow season in Illinois tomorrow boys!! Good luck to everyone in the stand today!

Calling for storms through out the night, then easing up in the morning 50% chance of rain its been raining here for over a week in NC and it will continue to rain till tuesday, am i crazy for considering going out in the morning?
If its not a pouring rain and just a drizzle id go... opening day is tomorrow here in ny im for sure going rain or shine dont matter... im on doe patrol tomorrow

Good luck Jim, I'm all set up as well. It's a nice cool 44* with a perfect light NNE wind. Only thing I forgot were the batteries to my shotgun mic, so I call that a success, I actually remembered to grab them off the charger, but left them in my pants pocket when I changed into my hunting gear....good luck everyone else that is in a tree, be safe.....
I really wasn't very excited for deer season this year. But now that I'm in a tree, on this beautiful chilly morning, and have had the crap scared out of me by a screaming bobcat, I'm pretty pumped....
Got to the blind a little later than I wanted but I think i'll be ok. Legal shooting light is in about 10 minutes. Best of luck to everyone.
