150 inch bucks. 2000 acres of woods. Time. Money. Pressure.

Don't forget what drew many of us to the woods in the first place. The freedom and magic of the fall woods. Dreaming of big bucks and exploration of not only the woods but of yourself.

Slow down and absorb it. We arent here forever.

very nice statement! I am definitely looking forward to it. it has been a very stressful summer as always. sometimes it is refreshing to just sit in the stand and close your eyes and just listen to all the things of nature around you.

I've been going a million miles per hour since March. Stress, e-mails, phone calls, scheduling, employees, putting out fires, decision making, yada yada yada. Been an absolute grind. I can't wait to finally be in a tree with nothing but the tranquility of mother nature surrounding me. It's a huge exhale for me.

Is it wrong that I really appreciate all that stuff when I am dragging and loading the buck? Honestly I go fishing to catch fish, deer hunting to kill a buck. I hunt where I live and take the time to appreciate what is around me every day, deer hunting to me is a mission.

Bingo! Too easy to get wrapped up in everything. I'm going to try and remember to think of your post tomorrow afternoon when I'm in the woods stressing about finding the perfect tree to set up in.
