Congrats bushnlo!! Got us on the board! Urban archery opened in one of the counties I hunt Sep. 5 but its been in the 90's and humid so I've been waiting. But it was 50 this morning (still going up to 80) and the pin oaks are really starting to drop so I'm gonna try to get out one evening soon. Hanging stands at another lease tomorrow so hoping to hunt my urban spot Wed or Thur. Pretty excited about the stands though my brother and I scouted it a few weeks ago and it was hot and we were beat and almost called it a day but decided to scout one more piece...it was an enormous(350 acres) pine block which in and of itself sucked because it's very thick but we had noticed on the aerials that on the backside was a creek bottom. Well we made it to the creek bottom and it has Honey Hole written all over it! Good luck and be safe to everybody heading out!
Sweet looking spot New! Our season opens in about 6 hours, unfortunately this will be my first opening morning I have missed since I was 16. Will not be able to get out until Thursday as I work Mon-Wed.
Way to go Bushnlo!! I missed the Jersey opener Saturday but I'm sitting in the ground blind with my daughter this afternoon and will be hunting straight through Saturday morning. NJ ROCKS!!!
Slow in NJ. TOO hot. Saw 2 today but out of range. Very uncharacteristic of NJ. Ussualy 10-15 deer per day. Have to believe it's the heat.
Going to move the blind today. Don't know that it will help though, 85 in the forecast again today. No break in the temps or rain till the day we leave. Keep hunting though, they have to eat sometime.
I had planned on hunting yesterday and today but the weather is just to hot. Mid 80s both days with wicked humidity, my spots are fairly deep in and I'll be dripping by the time I get there. We have a cold front moving in Sunday night and next week looks amazing.
Congrats on the doe, Bushnlo!! That is awesome. Way to get us on the board. I wont be able to hunt till 25 Oct. I got drawn for one of the best hunts in the state of Kentucky for that day! I can't wait. I need to really dial in my bow first. Keep it up ya'll and lets get it done!!
