Weather is great and moon is right for me this weekend. I'd say it might be the last chance for big deer on their feet in my position. I'm right there with ya after this weekend Justin

Less than 24 hours now and I'll be back up in a stand! I can't wait, the temps are supposed to be much cooler than normal, and I'm hoping it'll have the big boys up on their feet a little bit more. Good luck to everyone else who is able to get out, hopefully we can all put some deer down and points on the board.

It's shaping up to be a great weekend in Wisconsin! I have a feeling we'll see a few big ones hit the ground before Monday. Weather, wind and moon are all right to have deer moving a little extra during daylight. Good luck out there!

I'll most likely finish up hanging/trimming a few stands here at home, checking some trail cameras, fertilizing our small food plot and possibly cutting my clover plot one last time before fall. May as well take advantage of the cooler weather while we have it.

October 1st. That's what I'm waiting on. I still need to hang some stands as well though.

I've got all of my early/mid season clothes washed and I'm ready for next Saturday. I need a couple screws for my quiver mount so I see a trip to the bow shop in my near future.

Well the first sit of the year went nicely for me, I saw 4 deer total. A doe and fawn, a lone doe, and then a year and a half old buck. Nothing close enough for a shot but still not bad for opening morning!

Just got back in from setting up a new stand over looking one of our food plots and where I'll be sitting tonight. I'm hoping to continue to see deer tonight...I'll keep you guys updated.

Had a little 110" buck come into the beans last night at last light. Little small for me so I put my dad and a friend on him and I got the camera. Pretty sure he will be back tonight. Wish us luck

Sounds like they were moving this weekend - just not the big boys. I know a few who shot does and had opportunities at small bucks but nothing worth flinging an arrow at.

I checked some cameras here at home yesterday and finally got pics of one of my Hit Listers that's been MIA all summer. When I get things uploaded I'll post the pics. Seems like cameras on acorns are hot and everything else is pretty dead right now.

Well that was the biggest disaster, successful hunt I have ever been on. long story short. Buddy shot a nice little 8 pt. the deer dad shot at ran 40 yards got hit by a truck, driver gets out throws the deer in the truck and drives off. We never found any blood or the arrow so I assume he missed. Post pics here in a few.

    Well congrats to your buddy!

Sounds like your dad had some bad luck on that one. Had a similar thing happen to a guy we hunted with back in high school. Shot a buck, tracked it over to the highway, found a big splatter of blood on the road and no deer. Looked like someone took it already by the time we got there.
