It very well might have. We try to keep collars on females so that we can work the dens and see reproductive success.
Your not the only one has an issue with that tag cost... it has been tried in the past to get it included, and I'm sure at some point it will be, but I doubt any time soon sadly...

I figure in another 10 years or so it will be included. I was thinking you use to have to buy an Elk tag also but they got that changed and included in the lifetime.

I do believe your right about that. Same with the speed goat, so I am sure it's just a matter of time

Sorry for the lack of updates. Busy holiday weekend and the week leading up to it.

Did get out to check my main plot and the much needed rain has really helped move along my brassicas. The last clover clipping on the lower section really helped as well.

Was able to pull some more cards and I'm really disappointed. Nothing but 1.5 yr olds and one very sickly looking doe I've been tracking all spring/summer. It's a little concerning now as a few other local deer are starting to look light in weight when they should be packing on the lbs.

There aren't any confirmed CWD cases near here, but the weight loss with a few in the area are starting to make me wonder a little. Time will tell.

Ordered last minute supplies today. Clothes need washed, then it's a waiting game for the opener!

Update set opening morning seen two does and a small buck didn't get any shots on the does took a coughing spell and probably scared everything in the woods off and haven't been back since figured I'll try to kick this bronchitis plus it's been 90 degrees.

I checked cards yesterday while i was hanging that stand a trimming another stand out. I got 2 of my shooters in hard horn but the other 2 i didn't see but I'm not worried since the cards only soaked about 5 days and I need to put more corn out!

Yea spotlight counts invariably get me stoked for season, if I wasn't already. I'm glad you enjoyed it.

After some of our conversations last night, I'm back at looking for a good hunting pack, and really thinking about saving up for a pack in elk trip next year. Way to fuel the fire lol!
