So a little back story.... this spring I cleared out a small section of woods to put in a plot. Unfortunately the seed didn't take, so I made a mineral site on Aug 21. I put down some trace minerals and corn, the corn just to help attract them to the site. I had a couple deer come in in the last couple weeks, not many to be truthful. Also had 2 bucks show up only on the 26th. So I added more minerals to the site without corn this time. The bucks are in the area but not consistent about coming into that area. My plan is to set up a mock scrape nearby and see if that helps draw them in a little more consistently. Looking for your thoughts and opinions on this plan. Also feel free to guess how old and what they would score. If either of them gives me a shot, I am taking it regardless of score!!! Sent from my SM-G900V using Tapatalk
I'd keep up what yer doing... minerals and spread corn... I'd also try a bale or two of alfalfa busted apart in a couple good spots
I would keep doing corn but it has to be up 10 days before season opens. That's why I just did minerals this time Sent from my SM-G900V using Tapatalk
I'd put the smaller one low 120's and the other upper 120's to lower 130's. Age is hard to tell but I'd say 3 1/2 and 4 1/2
Just dont put too much mineral out and can burn the site with some.....some suggest atleast 30 days in between adding more mineral
