If I use the same sprayer that I had the Round up in, if I wash it out with soap, would it be ok to use it for fertilizing with Mossy Oak BioLogic M.E.E.N. Green Food Plot Fertilizer...its water soluble... Im just not sure, and was wanting to know from more experienced people before I did it.... Thanks Creeks!
Yes you can use other products in a sprayer you use roundup in. You should be be cleaning out you tank anyway so the pump stays clean. Flush it with water and spray water thru the gun or boom which ever you have. I have a 25 gallon sprayer with a boom. I rinse, it out and spray a few gallons of water through it when I'm done. If you want to be real anal about cleaning it. They make a tank cleaning product you mix with the water. Fleet farm sells it. Sent from my VS986 using Tapatalk
I use plain ole Dawn dish soap to rinse my sprayers with-- Its cheap and gets rid of any oily residue that straight water won't. Having it as a residue in your tanks can also can be a good thing as it acts as a surfactant.
'Surfactant' Ammonia will work fine to clean the tank. Nutrisol is the proper product, it's cheap as well...it's a water soluble powder. Definitely suggest you rinse the gly out. Especially before you spray fertilizer over the top of a crop if you're doing a foliar feed fertilizer. Be sure to open any and all valves while rinsing it out, spray can get locked up in those nooks and cranies and shut off hoses.

Thanks fellows for your time...I was thinking about Dawn myself, but I wasn't really sure.....I just wanted to be sure before I go out and spray my turnips, radishes, etc and it kills them.....That would stink!! Thanks Creeks!
I wouldn't really suggest using dawn personally. I don't like having unknown quantities floating around in the tank and that stuff is freaking hard to rinse out and it causes foaming issues.
One would think that a triple rince of water would bring any residual chemical well down into a harmless concentration.
It might and probably would but after putting a lot of work in getting plots in and growing and being a one shot deal, I can tell you that when you drive up to spray over the top of a pretty plot of deer groceries and all you have done is rinsed the tank...you're bravery will be tested unlike it has been before.
Hey Fellows, just so everyone knows I just called Southern States, local COOP here in Virginia and they indeed recommend me to go get a bottle of Ammonia USE THE WHOLE BOTTLE, and mix with water....Slosh the water around good in tank and spray a complete cycle through it...The guy said it neutralizes everything and is ok to spray out on ground.... Just triple rinse it. If you're worried about it, just go to a local farmer and ask what they put through their sprayers! 95% have no issues with multiple products and triple rinsing.
Could be but he said he was going to fertilize a food plot, I assumed it was at least an ATV sprayer.
