Here's my first impressions review. I've used it a little since I took this video and have been pretty impressed so far. I'll try and do a little review of the performance this weekend while I'm trimming around a couple of my stands.
I couldn't agree with MR more. Handsaw is a must! I still take my pole saw out, but I'm often frustrated with its performance as the poles disconnect. I now carry a pliers and screw driver with me when using it in hopes of remedying it, however, it always just a temporary fix as it never tightens like it should. I want to try the newer models, however, am unsure if it is worth it given the pricy purchase of the 1st one.

I think the hand saw is awesome, use it eveytime I hang a stand. I would never buy the pole saw - not necessary and too expensive.
We have (2) new pole saws out - Wicked Ultra Lights - 10 ft. $100.00 - 14. ft. $150.00. Also Made in USA! I honestly can't imagine not trimming stands. I guess I need to know I can kill a buck within 30 yards, anywhere around my stand if I'm going to have the confidence to put anytime in hanging a stand/ hunting the stand in-advance of the season. When I run & gun, I don't trim nearly as much - but where we hunt, you have to get in the cover to kill mature bucks. I spend far more time trimming stands each year than I actually do hunting. Works for me!
I got some work in over the last couple days. Here was the biggest challenge I took on. I'd estimate this branch to be 6"-7" diameter. It's hedge, so probably the toughest material out there. It did the job pretty well. Sent from my LG-D850 using Tapatalk
