Do you guys have any goals for this season? After shooting my first buck last year. And have only shot small does. This will be my 3rd season after taken not hunting from a youth. So I want to harvest a 2.5 year old or better this year. Have a couple nice 2.5 year old bucks on cam 2 and one nice 3 year old 6 I'd love to shoot. I may try and video a hunt to but I haven't decided yet. What are your goals for the season?
To shoot a mature deer same as every year, just have to be strong and not draw on a 3 year old. Don't fall for the jake bucks.
Get a good buck hopefully. If not then come early season put some awesome meat in my belly Bowtech invasion CX maxima 350 React 5 Reaper 2 inch
First season bowhunting. I spent half of last season practicing. Switched from rifle to bow. Goals for 2015 Cherry Season: 1. Kill a buck (6 point or bigger) 2. Kill a second buck (2 bucks per season) 3. Kill a mature doe 4. Kill a second mature doe I'd like to kill two bucks and two does. We'll see how the season plays out, but I put in the time into the offseason, I'm practiced, and ready to go. 16 more days! Really excited to post my first kill on the forums.
I just want to get my first deer with a bow. But I'm always excited about the chance at a buck Sent from my SM-G900V using Tapatalk
Goals for this season for me is limit out on big bucks and according to my cameras this could be the year first time on my property I've had four mature 8 points in one photo there ages are around 2.5 to 3 years and quite possibly a four year old Second goal is to at least get one of these kills on film I attempted last year takeing my 10 point but considering it was the biggest deer I've shot I wasn't to concerned about the camera haha
Hope you send an arrow thro a deer. I wouldn't be to picky. I know I wasn't. Shot the frist doe that came in range. Heck I will this year.
Hoping to take my first archery deer this year also. Would love to be able to take a buck so I can finish my tattoo but I will be happy and proud to take anything.
My goal is for me or my hunting buddy to get a mature buck on film. Just comes down to who will have the bow in hand and who will have the camera.
My goal for this season is to enjoy myself!! Last I put way too much pressure on myself and felt like I burned out early and really had to push myself through the late season! Another goal is to learn from the mistakes I made last year and hopefully won't repeat them!!
My goal is to hunt smart, enjoy my time in the woods and take a quality buck on film. Everything else will just be gravy.
My goal is to tag out on a mature buck and doe before seasons end.. Here in PA (atleast in my area) you only get 1 buck tag and you're lucky if you get a 2nd doe tag. I also look to have a safe and experience filled season where I come out of it as passionate about it as I went into it.. and of course my biggest goal is to preach what I've been practicing the past 4 years I've been archery hunting, to shoot true and make clean ethical shots so nothing has to suffer.
Goals for season: 1) Fill Moose and Elk tags during Alberta hunt. 2) Take a deer while my son is hunting with me; it would be his first experience with a successful hunt. We have seen deer together, just not in bow range. 3) Tag first buck with a bow. 4) Completely tag out with deer in Arkansas using only my bow 5) If the first four goals are met, not buy meat at the grocery store for an entire year Bonus goal: get my wife to go out with a crossbow and take a deer.
Just bought 1/2 a cow 1/2 a pig and will always have room for venison. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
My goal in Minnesota when the season starts will be to kill a 3.5 year old or older. The less deer I see the quicker that goal changes. Hopefully I can hold out this year. On my trip to Colorado my goal is to see an elk. Setting the bar low there since it will be my first trip. On my trip to South Dakota I would like to kill a buck. I guess my high end goal is 2 deer and an elk by the end of the year. My low end goal is kill my first deer with a bow.
