I recently purchased a Canon Vixia G20 camera and a Muddy Outfitter Arm and have a question regarding the fluid head to go with it. Will the G20 screw on to any fluid head by itself or will I need anything else to connect the camera to the fluid head and then to the camera arm? Thanks for any advice.

Most fluid heads will come with a quick release plate. Manfotto makes a great head for that size camera. I believe it's around $100. Don't skimp on purchasing a GOOD fluid, it really makes or breaks your footage.

I have the same camera and went with the Manfrotto MV500AH and it has the quick release plate. It might be a little bit of overkill but I will never have to buy another one. Even if I upgrade to a larger camera down the road. The 128RC is a popular model for smaller cameras too.
