I can not post from my phone but the buck I shot last year scored 158 and change and this buck is WAY bigger.
The better question is how much smaller would he have been without monster raxx? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I shot this buck last year about 80 yards from where Rocky is standing in the picture, he scored 158 5/8"
once they get over that 140 range I couldn't give u anything close of a guess what he would score. But for me at least if they are bigger then that he is in no question a shooter. Seen the picture of you mount from last years buck and to be honest first thing that came to mind is it kind of looked like what mounts do when they are really old. But seeing the trail cam pic it is just the deer him self that looks that way.... so I take back my original thought and the taxidermist did a good job
The mount in that picture is from my Iowa buck the buck above is the one I shot in Minnesota. He was mature too but not as old as the Iowa buck.
So that's what a old bucks face will look like........... To me the face looks identical and just reminds me of a old mount. Must be all the gray or something
I'll go with 180. For comparison with a typical 10pt, this is a pic of a 10pt I shot a few years ago that was just under 160", Rocky will have lots of inches over this buck. Good luck, I hope we get to see pics of him on the ground and on the wall.
Yep, 190"+ was way off, the buck score software I used was pretty accurate as was frenchbread. 160 was also quite a bit too low. I thought he would be bigger bodied than he looks in the hero shot and that threw me off quite a bit, not as wide as I thought he'd be. Still an incredible deer any way he's measured.
Here is the final story and more pics. http://forums.bowhunting.com/showthread.php/76332-ROCKY-Goes-Down!
