5 acres at our shop, a bunch of scrub oaks so not much height... so maybe we could build a blind? Thoughts?
I would't even think twice about setting up a pop up blind early and letting the deer get used to it. Brush it in real good, and leave it be. They'll get used to it being there and won't pay any attention to it. Your entry/exit is more important. This is JMHO, but if I can't get a minimum of 15 feet up I would rather be in a blind. At 5-10 feet you wont' get away with any movement at all. But again, JMO.
Makes sense... I could maybe get 8 ft... It is a shop were at daily and only 5 acres, so there somewhat custom to activity. It is a small property This is new to me, I have fished all over Fl. but have not harvested a deer or hog for that matter, Fishing came first, but since there is an opportunity available, I would like to make the most out of it.
I say go brush in a blind. I know guys that had deer walk under them at 9 feet but that was probably just luck.
