I hunt a small 12 acre parcel as well. With some patients and hard work, bigger bucks start to show up. We hunt the only creek bottom that enters the west side of a state park. The from the park cruise through there all the time. Just wish we could get the neighbor and the owners kids to stop hunting it like Elmer Fudd.
Not quite for me yet. I'm sitting right at 650ish. 149, 134, 126, 123, 119. All but one was harvested with a bow though. Also, all but one was taken on my 40 acres.
Not to be a stickler P & Y whitetails must be over 125 typical, and they are not a P & Y buck if they are not registered and in the book.
I think he just means that he is using P&Y scoring, not that they are P&Y qualifying. But yeah, its odd to label each score with either B&C and P&Y. Especially since you can enter a bow kill into B&C and both systems score the same way.
I checked the scores of all my deer and the best 5 came out to 707.5 gross. 124 4/8 8 pt with bow, 143 5/8 11 pt with bow, 143 4/8 8 pt (brute) with shotgun, 131 4/8 12 pt I think with bow(the one mounted), 164 3/8 9 pt with bow. All Madison County, IL deer.
I've never officially scored any of mine... but I'm prob around 645... approx. 140", 135", 130", 125", 115"
Enjoyed looking at folks trophies through this thread so far. I'm at ~768 total. Latest one should have been 184" that I let walk twice for a landlord and a neighbor killed with a rifle. I don't think I'll bother posting pics, posted them all before and don't feel like searching through all my pics again so tifwiw. When I opened this thread and read through, I couldn't help but think of this clip:
I'm nowhere near where I know many hunters on this forum fall when looking at my top 5, however, I have a score that rounds out to be in the ballpark of 764 (163, 159, 155, 150, 137). I don't have pics of all 5 on my computer, but here are a couple.
