Im trying to decide what rest to get with my No cam, The pro shop is pushing me to go for the smackdown, thats what I have on my current Creed xs and it does fine, but I know the Apache gets alot of hype, wanted to hear some opinions?

Both will work fine. I personally would go with the smack down between the two. It's limb driven so has less impact on draw cycle and to me is aesthetically better looking.

I have shot neither, but I read a lot of reviews on products. I'd go with the smack down.

I too would go with the Smackdown. No issues with them on my bows in 4 seasons.

The limb driven nature of the Smackdown leaves it's long cord kind of out there a bit which is just one more thing to snag.

I still like mine, but I like my QAD a bit more.

I love the Apache rests especially the carbon one. But the smackdown pro is probably the better choice since it's limb driven. It will take of any pressure from the cable.

I really like the QAD HDX, prob my favorite rest so far. A friend of mine has the Apache and loves it. They all do the trick just depends on what your looking for honestly. I like simplicity, functionality and Full containment in a rest.

My Apache hasn't failed me in 3 seasons and a ton of arrows through it.

When I got my HTR I initially purchased a Smackdown Pro, mostly because my archery hero Cameron Hanes uses one, and then I talked to my local bow pro John Schaffer. He explained how his rest doesn't have to be reset before every shot, easy to set up, and his Schaffer Light Rest works in all adverse conditions and doesn't fail in the field. Just my $0.02.

Very simple to set up the Smackdown. When you draw your bow, it sets itself. I've used them in some of the most adverse weather conditions the Midwest can dish out & they've never let me down. I only use what has proved to be dependable and hassle free. I realize there's always that first time. One of mine is into its fifth year of regular use. In my experience, they have been a simple, rugged and dependable rest

I have the Smackdown Pro now for just about 2 years. No issues at all. I went with it because it's limb driven. Never used the NAP. The only other rest I have used was the whisker biscuit. If I was looking to change I would be looking at the new Rip Cord if it was limb driven or a Whisker Biscuit

    Um, short answer- yes!
I gotta say I like it better than my Smackdown. Very easy to set up at home, also.

I swapped out my HDX for the smackdown. I like the design a lot more and the limb driven action not having to put anything in the middle of my cable. Also don't need to time the smackdown like the QAD

If ripcord made the ace limbdriven it would be the best rest on the market IMO. Full containment, micro adjust, and limb driven.
