The people I work with are problem solvers, it is their job. We don't complain out glitches in the field, or issues out of our control we take care of problems. If the IT clowns just did their job without their superior attitude we could all get along together just fine. The other point the IT people access what ever they want on their issued computer, that is an issue.
Oh it does not bother me one bit as I remind the little IT fella who efforts pays his salary. Just fix the laptop and shut up. Then I explain that if I was given the Apple product I want rather than a PC we would not be having the issues we are.
It's the golden rule...the man with the gold is making the rule. Though having been the boss man on many projects, nothing I hate more than having a tight timeline and catching my team surfing the Web. Though, it sure is better if I catch them then the client.
Well been on all night with my phone and this little screen and poor reception is just not nearly the same.....
Sounds like they are not the only ones with a superior attitude. I am not in IT but my wife was before becoming a programmer. She has hundreds of stories and she hated the workers attitudes so much that she became a programmer instead .
I take it you have a dwarf as your IT guy.. Or your attitude that your are big and they are little in rank of impotence.. LOL Yep you sound like all the other convert to an Apple is the answer team.. Here is the thing about who pays the bills. Without your PC it would probably be a lot tougher to do your job as the only self professed money maker in the company!
Never said I was the only one, just captain of the team that actually creates revenue. When I started my business career fax machines were new, we did things with a pad and pen. It pisses me off to no end when somebody says they can't do there job because the computer is down. Oh and yeah the IT guy at work is 6' and weighs 130 pounds, when he puffs up his chest we laugh at him at least we do it to his face.
