well for one thing, unless your girlfriend is going couch surfing or sleeping at cheap hostels in eastern Europe for her trip, your girlfriend is going to spend a hell of a lot more money than $1500 in Europe. I can promise you that.
Exactly what I was going to say! I have been to Europe several times, and $1500 will not touch it. Even if the flight was free. I have spent that much on cab fare and tips on a single trip in Europe. I think you are good to go on buying the bow, because she wont have enough money to make it back home from Europe, so she will never know.
Ok. So I talked to her about it. And yes her trip is about 3,000 and she said it's alright with her for me to buy a bow. She doesn't like it but it's up to me in the end how I spend my money. Sent from my HTC6525LVW using Tapatalk
One think to think about is do you both want to spend a total of 4200+ at the same time? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
One thing I liked about this thread is that I got to point out to my husband how cool it is that he doesn't have to get my permission for stuff.
The OP is going to sell moped/scooter to offset part of the cost to upgrade his bow, man cards are not cheap to get back.:D
Key word..."girlfriend". Do you support her financially? (If not, why would she have a say on what you spend your money on, assuming the following is in-line). As long as your bills are paid, have savings to a certain % (I've always heard have AT LEAST 6 months of monthly expenses) and have saved your money for this bow... you're fine. You also have a fine point about her "dream" vacation. Luxuries are not necessities, no matter how you spin the wheel. Dream vacation vs. dream bow. BOTH are luxuries, and should be treated (in spending) as such. Spending money on a dream vacation vs dream bow is no different (IMO).
I think you should pull up side by side pictures of your gf and your bow and see which you want more Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
We all have heard the old joke, You know what a woman eats that causes her to no longer support a mans hunting habit? Wedding Cake.:D
