So I just ordered a set and am wondering if people on here have experience with them and can you still use the collar that comes with the maxima reds.

I use them in my mayhems. I take the collar off. They can be a little difficult to install but once you get them in they work well and shut off is really easy. I'm actually going to probably get another pack or two here soon.

Did you notice any difference between the two nocks as far as accuracy? I went with nockturnals and they pulled me down.

The main reason I went with these is from the research I did I read there is zero differences between regular and these

Nope I haven't noticed a difference when shooting with them.

I use the collars installed on my Maxima Blue Streaks. I just put a touch of super glue to hold the collar in place. I've used Nocturnals, Luminoks and Launchpads and really like the Launchpads. Hated Nocturnals.

I shoot the nockturnals and they shoot the same for me as regular nocks and i've re-used them for 3 seasons now even after pass through's on animals. I won't shoot anything else....

Same here, I shot a buck last year with one and the arrow broke, found the end with nock on it and threw it in my pack. Forgot about it and opened pack few weeks later in dark treestand to a glowing blue nocturnal.

I'm glad they worked for you both. I just remember shooting an arrow at 40 without a nocturnal and one with and the one without hit pretty low. Shot the launchpad lighted nocks and no change.

All lighted nocks weigh more than regular nocks so the potential for POI changes are there. It's simple physics, you can't add stuff to a nock to make it light up and not have it weigh more. I have shot both Nockturnals and Launch Pads and both shot exactly the same. I shoot Nockturnal because I can find better deals on them.

The newer nocturnal' are thicker and seem to fit on the string better!

^^THIS^^ Any lighted nock should change your POI past 20 or 30 yards simply because of the added weight. It really hasn't nothing to do with the brand.

Overall I've been happy with my Launchpads over the past few years. I'm not sure if they changed anything or not but I recently got some new ones and the switch seems more "crisp" when turning on/off. It could be my imagination but they seemed a little better built.
