Heck Yeah! That's a good way to get out to a lead! We'll be tied for 1st with one other team after it becomes official! I almost shot another doe last night but decided to pass and watch and learn. She was a smart one that probably should have been dealt with, but i guess it's too late for that now lol. Good job again Shrek!

I'm still patiently awaiting for the Oct. 1st opening day to get here so I can go home and hunt that weekend. I've been shooting my bow just about every day here at school in the back yard, and I'm confident up to about 35 yards now, which is about the longest shot I'd have an opening to take anyways. I haven't really had a chance to watch the fields as well as I'd like since I've been at school, but I have a feeling I'll have a chance at a decent sized buck sometime this season, and hopefully it arrives before shotgun season opens up.

Alright! so after the 1st will anyone NOT be hunting yet? Because I think it's time we start kickin wings and takin...No sass! Looks like I'll have tomorrow night, Friday, Saturday mornin and Sunday night to hunt. Got a concert Saturday night so I won't be hunting then. Otherwise it's time my friends!

October 3rd we start our general season here in VA---I won't be hunting until the 6th and 7th. Target number=a doe.

My county does have an early antlerless archery season in now--I will be trying this Saturday morning for a few hours to see if I can knock down a doe.

Heck, what's a hunting season if your friends can't poke a little sass at you?

Our bow season goes until Nov. 20th this year. We also have a week after gun season is over but that usually sucks!

Hunting until November 20th is enough time to do some damage--the best hunting is from Halloween until the 20th anyways...GOOD luck guys. I hope you all score this weekend.

Well I hunted the tiny little section of woods behind my house this morning. I put my back to a laydown and looked out over the thick woods. About 20 minutes after sun-up a doe started making her way toward me, then veered off out of range. About 2 minutes later a decent 6-8 point came in to range. I could have killed him but two problems...1) it is an antlerless only season right now---so it is illegal :) 2) He was a borderline buck for me anyways ( 2.5 year old 80-85 inch buck). It was still a lot of fun to watch him for about 5 minutes as he came to 15 yards broadside!
