I saw most of my mature bucks on calm days here in southern mn. I did end up shooting a 4yr old 140in during the rut it was windy as hell and he was scent checking a doe bedding area. It depends on the location , time of year and pressure put on the deer. Like Chago said on the first page he see's deer all the time when its windy but he also said its always windy.... in that case deer would be used to the wind and more comfortable moving in it. I hunt in a protected river valley where we rarely have high winds, so unless its the rut I see less deer on windy days. This tendency is also very noticeable on my trail cams.
I have noticed that I tend to see bucks more on windy days, especially on hillsides. I can't say though that the calm days keep the deer down at all though. V
