What stab setups are you guys running? Right now I'm running a 6" b stinger sport hunter extreme but am looking to upgrade to something longer and with more end weight. Looking at either stokerized or xtreme stabilization. Anyone have experience with stabs from either of these companies? Any help is appreciated
I have the 8" B-Stinger on my PSE, a 10" B-Stinger on my Anarchy, and a 9" TR Static on my Empire, modified with a few extra B-Stinger weights on the front. Each bow balances differently and obviously has different requirements in a stabilizer. You will need to try out some different sizes and weights on your rig, and see what you need. Just for reference, I shoot with the quiver on, on the PSE and the Empire. That throws a wrench into the works for comparing and balancing from one set up to another.
Yeah I gotcha just looking to see what has worked for other people before I go buying a bunch of different stabs. Thinking I'm going to get a 10" and just play with different weights
I have the 8" B-Stinger on my Empire, I wish I had gotten the 6", the bow is just very well balanced as is and I don't even have any of the weights on it.
Bee stinger sport hunter on one bow. Works great! Apex carbon core on Faktor... Both work fine Sent from my XT830C
I just use a fuse blade. Why? Because it came off of my wife's charger because she wanted some color. It does the job of taking what little vibe my bow has in it out. And it's just long enough for me to be able to carry my bow on my shoulder. And it was free.
I'm shooting a 10 inch with a crap load of weight on the end, I think 12oz last time I checked. It's really helped me on shots past 50+ yards.
That's purely your opinion. And in my opinion I couldn't disagree more. The bee stinger puts all the weight towards the end where you want it. Bee stingers are some of the best stabilizers in the market. Not to mention their short gridlock stabilizers really don't do anything. Mostly just for looks with minimal vibration dampening. After looking into the k techs I think most of there models should be called dampeners instead of stabilizers because all that most of them would do is take away some noise and hand shock not stabilize the bow. I guess I should've made my question more specific and asked how much weight and length everyone likes on a b stinger type stab because I like my b stinger but it's long or heavy enough to really make a difference and the only reason I don't want another is cuz they're made in Mexico which I found out after I bought it. Stokerized and xtreme are both small American companies so I want to buy from them to support the little guy
I use an Apache 8". Total weight is 7 2/3 ounces. I can tell a big difference from the 5" to 8". Like someone else said though I wish I had known more about them before. I think in going to try some new ones later this week.
I use a 10 inch stokerized with Saturn weight and a 6 inch hunter as a side bar Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Ktech Tech series stabilizers do a fantastic job at removing vibration and shock and stabilizing the bow. I like a long stabilizer though, so i'm shooting a Ktech Infinity DX10 on a 10degree offset knuckle at a total length of about 12". I then shoot the short Tech Twin 5 with the harmonic stabilizers on a Ktech MK9 sidebar for some rear and side weight. I love Ktech products and although i am not prostaff i stand behind them 100% due to their fantastic service and well made American products.
I switched from a 7" octane hunter to a 10" fuse carbon blade hunter. I like the fuse way more kills vibration better, adds a bit more weight to the front and I like the length. I am interested in bee stingers also, I've never shot a bow with one on but am curious to see how they are. After switching to a longer stab and then comparing it to shorter ones I don't think I could ever go back. The few extra inches on the carbon blade made a huge difference
