hi, i shoot a bowtech insanity cpx at 60lbs and 28 inch draw length. i bought some new 125g g5 montecs, and when i shot them, they hit about 6-7 inches lower than my 125g field points. i dont want to tune to the montecs because then all my rabbit points and other heads will hot differently too. should i try some expandables? and if so, any suggestions of what ones to get would be great, im open to any other suggestions too. thanks.

Why not just tune your bow so your broad heads and field points have the same POI?
If you search on here and via Google your sure to find the steps ..it's easy enough

I cant tune it to have both hit in the same spot. I dont know why, but the broadheads consistantly hit lower, thats the problem haha. if I knew how to make both hit the same, i wouldve done it. maybe theres something I can do to make it work but I dont know if there is, so I thought id post it to get suggestions from more experienced people. thanks anyway man

Then you are not tuning it correctly..... properly tuned they will shoot the same. Moving to a mech head to make up for a bow that is not properly tuned is not the way to go.

Why not just sight in for broad-heads and know your field points will hit high? It's only a mind game.... Not all broad-heads fly like field points even with the same weight. As long as I am not left or right with one or the other I don't worry about it.

Just move your rest 1/32" at a time in the direction you want to move your broadheads.

^^^ This. Then shoot BH and FP. Are they getting closer together (such as was 6-7" now 4-5")? The you are on the right track. Once they hit the same adjust your sight. Now all BH, FP, "rabbit points" etc should al hit the same.

    If Not:

Did you spin test the BH?
Is it every Montec or just the 1? Maybe try 3-4 of them.
Are you using a drop-away rest? If so maybe delay when the arrow starts to fall. Instead of the last inch of the draw try 3" from the end.

I wouldn't recommend shooting at foxes with field points. And moving your rest up slightly should fix it
