I liked the victory vforce for target shooting, but have always used CX for hunting-higher gpi. BUT the mayhems are sufficient for my needs, maximas were just too expensive for me without any preceptible benefit.

Go with Gold Tip XT Hunters. They are awesome hunting arrows and at a great price!! Also, they are made in the US whereas Carbon Express are made in Korea. If you care about that sort of thing. I don't trust CE as I have seen too many reviews showing false claims of their "weight forward" and "dual spine" technology. John Dudley has a great video showing you how false their claims are. You won't want to shoot CE after watching this.... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HT0JMQ31KLQ

I've shot CX's, the Blue Streaks specifically and they didn't hold up well. I did kill two deer that year with them and they shot fine, just not durable in my opinion.

I switched back to Gold Tips and they're doing just fine.

I'll be giving the Maxima BLUs a try this year. I've been very happy with my Blue Streaks thus far and like the idea of the Red Zone technology being added into that shaft. I'll also be sticking with a 50 grain brass weight on the back of the insert to give it some additional weight and bump up my FOC.

So are the new blu's not a "speed" arrow anymore? I'm interested in the 2015's as well.

They're the same weight as the Blue Streaks just with the same Red Zone technology as the Maxima RED arrows.

Justin what inserts and weights do you use? I was looking to see what insert and weight combo worked with CX and couldn't find any. I shoot GT's now and use their half-out inserts and FACT weight system, not too familiar with Carbon Express and was thinking of trying these out.

I use the standard CX inserts with GT FACT weights on the back of them. They're threaded the exact same so they accept the weights without a problem.
