I fashioned a grip cover out of a neoprene bottle coozie. Mounted with 3m automotive tape. Worked wonders.

Sure did buddy. Paid $2 for a section of cord and pulled all the inner strands out right away. Wrapped super tight it has the feel of hockey tape or tennis tape but way more durable and imo more comfortable. I'll be doing this on all my Hoyts from now on i think

This looks great! On my carbon element I used to have side plates only because I liked a thin grip, but went back to the rubber 180 grip, my hand doesn't get cold but the grip doesn't feel right. You seem to have the solution to that problem. Awesome!

I also have to add the grip on my new martin is one of the best feeling grips I have ever had in my hand, there is no way I am putting anything on it... Even my bow man who has held many bows loves it...

again get you a easy hanger and you won't have to hold those ice cubes..:tu:

I used to use a bear bow and my hands would always sweat when I grabbed the bow. Bought a bowtech and my hands are freezing anytime I grab for awhile. I was also thinking about doing something different. Not sure what the bear bows have on their bows, but they use that as a selling point as a warm grip and it does work.

I like the paracord idea. Never hurts to have that stuff around if needed.

Do you tie it on like you would do serving? I can't picture in my little mind how it would stay tight.

Have you used this Justin, I looked at it and have asked but no one has said if they have it or have tried it.

Mines not quite at pretty as Nicks but it's just an experiment for now. I didn't take the cords out so it may be a little thick. Going to shoot it in the morning and see how I like it. If it's too thick I'll pull the cords or go with a 450 size. Took about 15 ft of cord to do this.

Looks good man, i bet that'll work out great especially if you end up pulling that inner core out. The stuff is so cheap it never hurts to try several different ways and see what works best!

Here's another pic of how it looks, it's nice and thin and has a great profile. Basically, i wrapped it like a serving, so it has no knots. It holds itself but in order to work correctly it has to be very tight. Took me 3 tries of wrapping and unwrapping before it finally turned out tight enough, then i trimmed and melted the ends and they virtually disappear into the wrap. It was $2 well spent
