My old rest was a Whisker Biscuit shooting dead on. Changed to a QAD LD rest do to the noise on the WB bristles. The problem I'm have is that the arrow is hitting the target dead on but the nocks on the arrows are canted to the left after hitting the target. Any advice will be appreciated.
I had the same problem with my QAD Ultra. Nocks were canted to the right. I had to keep moving my rest to the left and they started hitting straighter and straighter. I was worried when I shot with my fixed blade broadheads but no problem. Just adjust it in small increments
Paper tune the bow or take it to your pro shop and have them paper tune it. I was shooting bullet holes through paper but occasionally i would notice a terrible arrow flight and figured out I had shelf slap on occasion but i don't think it would cant them to the left every time. I think a paper tune would show whats wrong with it.
I went to paper tune my bow and shot bullet holes with two arrows and next two were canted right, this kept happening on two arrows finally I took a closer look and had very small hairline fractures in to of my brand new out of the box maxima reds, very upset with carbon express but nonetheless could also be a problem with your arrow flight if the canting is selective on a certain number of arrows
I had mine installed at my Pro shop and have never had an issue. LOVE IT! Hunt with it! They did mention however if it wasn't (I want to say) "tied in" properly you could have issues.
Are all your arrows canting to the left or just some of them? I had a few arrows do that to me and it was my arrows.
What kind of target? Bags can be very misleading when looking at the nocks. Foam is best. Paper tuning will get you close then bareshaft tune because it's much more accurate. Qad rests are awesome when set up correctly. They're all I use.
