Hey folks wondering what your opinions are on climbing stands tree walker in general. I tried one and liked it but it's a lot of money to spend I have 2 summits and they are great but not the best they don't grip that well thanks

I love the treewalker. I've had it about 4-5 years now. Its the only stand I can do an all day sit due to the seat style. I have not had or tried a lone wolf or summit like others have. You only need one climber. I've left it outside for months at a time and it is like brand new still. It is very light weight. There is only 1 thing I have begun to not like about climber in general, I have found it harder and harder to find a climber suitable tree on public were you don't have to trim limbs off. Many times lately I found the hot trail setup and there is no straight limbless tree in the right wind. I am probably going to try a hang-on with sticks next year. As far as climbers, I wouldn't even think of another brand. I can sleep like a baby in it!

I might be able to help you out with the buying one if you would like? A buddy of mine is going through a divorce with some ugly child battle issues and is selling off alot of his stuff for lawyer money.
He bought a Treewalker last year and to my knowledge he only had it in a tree to test it out one time.

I know he wants to sell but not sure of the price, I just know he didn't want to take too much of a loss since it is basically brand new.

If this interests you I can get more details if you would like. Just PM me.

Buy it. You never see a used one for sale for more than a day. They had a demo at one of the hunting shows and they climbed a round steel pole with it. It does have spikes maybe 1/2" long that are like screws but don't think its considered damage.

I've not heard a bad thing about them. I've checked them out myself and they are very nice in the tree, but off the tree, lugging it around they're pretty cumbersome for my tastes. I think it depends a lot on the terrain you hunt and the distance you walk in.

Really nice stand. I've had one for several years now. They do tear up the tree but are dead solid and won't slip. My only complaint is the 'water pipe' they put over the cable. It isn't very quiet when climbing.

Treewalker is a very safe , comfortable, easy carry stand.
Shoving a half dozen screws into the cambium each step you take. It can really wear on a tree that you hunt out of a lot.
