So I have an oldie but goodie Loggy Bayou stand loc on/ climber .. I use it as a Loc On bowhunting most of the time since it so light to carry in. I was wondering what y'all use for replacement straps since this stand is on up in age I am concerned about that being unsafe ? And where to get them ? currently I use the original along with two other rachet straps to be on the sad side Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Not too familiar with loc on's, I mainly use a climber. But id imagine you could get replacement straps from almost any company that sells loc ons. It would be a good first place to look...Sorry for the obvious answer but thats all I got
It's ok I'm not that sensitive LOL thank you , loggy bayou went out of business / is now Muddy . I have several different brands and will definitely do what ya said bud Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Turk, I have 3 loggy bayou's. Which strap? The rubber on the wide metal that goes around the tree or the rope that also goes around the tree?
If you got two other rachet straps I would just replace those with what you did before and call it a day as it sounds like they connect well to the stand.
I just buy straps from Walmart. I usually get the 1,000 lb working load ones. Overkill, but they're still cheaper and stronger than the ones that come with stands Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
It's the black rope that goes around the tree , I currently still tighten it like usual then I have a replacement strap for ladder stands hooked with it, and just for extra stability I use another replacement strap at base when bow hunting . Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I don't want to hijack your thread, but this got me thinking... Anyone know where to order new cables for hang on stands? The ones that connect to platform? I have several older stands and have started wondering about their safety. Thanks for any help
We have been getting heavy duty ratchet straps like at Walmart, Home Depot or Lowes. If the original straps are still decent but you aren't trusting your life with only it we leave them in place and just go over them with the new ratchet straps. Some still in business companies may provide you with replacements. Many guys I know have been using much heavier duty chain for replacements.. Just take your cable in and measure to the closest eye, shorter rather than longer. Replace the bolts with new hardened or even stainless and use oversized washers.
