Well Fellas. I was out last weekend and had a doe and 2 yearlings come right under me. ( cant shoot does during the month of November unless it is Thanksgiving weekend.) Saw a nice Buck but he was about 70 yards out. could not get him to come in. Looking to take to the woods this weekend and see how it turns out.

Hunted quite a bit lately, seen a couple nice ones and passed on some young ones. Last weekend had a nice 3.5 year old 10 coming in but it was pretty open and I'm pretty sure he seen me. No good shots at does either. Kind of a slow year so far and now we got about 2 to 3 inches of snow here and cold. I don't think I'll get out until after gun season. Good job on all your kills guys!

[IMG][IMG]shot this guy on Saturday night. Not the buck I was after but couldn't pass up the shot & it was the last arrow in my quiver. (Long story). Hope to get him measured this weekend.

I will get my buck scored as soon as possible and post up on the link. Should Of had me on this team two years ago. I shot a 140 and a 130 in the same season. I did not sign up for the buck contest two years ago. Still time left for me to get another buck.

I shot a nice buck today but I did use my slug gun since it was the last day of gun season. This is the buck I passed with my bow because I could not tell if he was old enough. After looking pics over I realized I should try and kill him. This was only my 4th day out hunting for myself and not taking the kids out.

Well guys, I'm still at it trying to kill a mature buck. Passed up a couple 130-140" bucks so far, even passed up a double main beam buck at 30 yards the other day at about 10:45. I was hunting an absolute giant, but I learned the other day that the neighbor shot him. Ended up scoring 211". Ill post up some pics in a bit.

The 211" buck killed a mile from where I was getting pics almost every night:

Heading out to the public grounds in the AM. Did some more scouting Tuesday and found lots of rubs and fresh scrapes.
It snowed last weekend so I know these are fresh.
I really need to put something down because I've yet to even put anything in the freezer.
Everything over here has been pretty nocturnal and I haven't seen them chase in a while so I'm going to try some acorn spray tomorrow.
    Here's hoping.

Great job on the bucks. If everyone can check their entry and make sure all the information and pictures are correct that would be great. It says if the deer has been accepted if not it tells you what info you need. We didnt get every deer entered yet.

Great job so far guys. I was in WI. for the opener of Gun season so I was not able to get any Archery in. Saw 6 does and 1 fork but the mist and fog killed the day. only heard 12 shots in the entire area over an 8 hour period. Rough day.

Turkey day starts the 4 day Doe season and I will be in Dallas with Family so no hunting that day but Friday Sat n Sun I will be hard at it. I hope to get some meat in the Freezer.

Happy Thanksgiving to you all and enjoy your Family and safe Hunting.

Sorry for the delay, but he's not huge by any means. Just an old buck with bad genetics, he needed to be taken out of the gene pool a couple years ago but never was. He was an old warrior buck, broke both his brows off and his cape was all roughed up.

I actually found a bullet wound in the deer's neck while butchering it. Looked like a smaller diameter bullet, like a .223 or so. The property is close to a dirt road that kind of has a reputation for spotlighting and poaching.

I scored him at 120 7/8", I'll post up the scoring breakdown after a while. Had 23 7/8 and 24 3/8" main beams. I normally wouldn't shoot a buck this small, but this has been a rough season and I'm running out of time to hunt. Lots of college graduation stuff coming up soon.
