I havent posted in a while being busy with school and work. But I had time on a rainy day today to tell the story of my season so far. My hunting buddies and I have had a great year. Three of us killing our biggest bucks to date and two of them we self filmed. We all kind of have our own properties to hunt, but we work together to help eachother out getting prepared for the season with food plots, scouting, etc. In early October my buddy killed a 131" 9 point with a split G3. I wont tell the whole long story, if you want to hear that its in the video. But basically it was the #1 buck on his hit list, he had encounters and video of it last year, and we got velvet footage of it this summer. Then on the 29th of October I killed the biggest buck Ive ever seen on stand. The deer ended up going 162 1/8 Gross Green Scored. I made a poor shot, really poor. But I think all the right steps were made after the shot and we were able to recover him. Then last night my best friend shot a great 8 pointer in the city limits. He called me all jacked up and we went and recovered the deer right away. I couldnt be happier for him. Ive been doing some work with a taxidermist near me and hes going to help me mount my buddies 8 point and my 13 point so I'm pretty excited about that. Good luck to everyone out trying to fill tags, I know I'm going to try and slam a few does and hopefully get one with the gun. Some great ones have already been taken down I see on the forum. You def used your tag on a damn good buck, hopefully the bucks showing up on your cams make it through to next year and you get a crack at em then and even bigger.
