The video is very clear you just have to remember anything past 10-15 yds will be very small. You can't take that away from the camera though bc that's not what it's designed for. I love mine

Then it would be perfect. I love shooting time lapses with mine and there is so much you can do with it

It all depends on how you use it if that makes sense. I would say the batteries are pretty good. I bought a backup but haven't HAD to use it very often. I got mine at the beginning of the summer before the 4 came out. I was going to go with the middle one (silver I believe) but I knew I was going to end up getting the remote so for that little extra I went ahead and got the black. Yeah there is a difference but it's not like super noticeable

I have one mounted to my bow. Great for 20 yards and in, so great for bow hunting. I know rifle hunters that use them, but usually its too far away.

I also have a Gen 3, Silver on my bow. Originally, I got it so I could start filming hunts, but quickly realized that it wouldn't work. Now I have it pointed back on me and use a Canon to film with. I really like the GoPro though

Works good for messing around talking to it and close kills

I've got one. I don't use it as much as my son does, he gets a kick out of it. We've got a ton of duck hunting footage. He recorded most of our ND trip with it and most of it turned out good. It doesn't do early mornings well but once the sum gets up it does fine. Like someone else said it doesn't do long range very good.
