I have been sitting with my son all day. The time does go by slow when you haven't seen a deer since 8:00. Hopefully it will pick up soon.
Just climbed in favorite stand where I took my Buck last season! First time in, winds are not near as bad as yesterday or this morn!
I was going to be hunting ole big buck today but they called my wife into work.. My son has been asking to go so I guess we will go for a short sit in one of our ground spots by the house (its cold and he is little). Still haven't got the 2 man ladder stand set up for us at my dads yet. Who knows tho, we may get a doe in close enough to get the job done! This wind is gonna be a killer tho.
I called it after 11am when I went to eat my sandwich and it fell out of the stand. Being too wet and frustrated I climbed down and went home. Hope you guys get some luck tonight. I'm on daddy duty tonight while wife goes out with her friends!
Been in the stand 2 hours and the wind is really not pleasant. It's like i am on an old wooden roller coaster.
I'm sitting over food tonight. Last night had a shooter at 10 yards. Hoping he returns. I will shoot a doe too.
Just saw an absolute GIANT!!!! He came into the horns but the wind swirled and he spooked. NOOOOOO!!!!!!
After sitting all day a hot meal and shower tonight are going to be good. If I have to wash blood off my hands it will be even better.
