Hi name's Goober(not my real name but..) and I am obviouly new here. I am the youngest of ten boys and live on the farm my great-grand dad bought. I am 21 years old and despite living in the rural areas, I have never hunted anything before. I am a proud mama's boys but have been wanting to learn how to hunt animals and process the animal I kill. I have just managed to get my mom to give the okay to my dad so that he can teach me, but it has not been going well.

Welcome aboard Goober! You have definitely come to the right place for everything bowhunting. I've seen some of the best collaborations of information out there on this forum. Read...read...read...and read some more. There is just about an answer to every question you can think of dealing with bow hunting.

& this is just my two cents but...your 21 years old man respectfully you don't need your mamas permission to hunt! Think about why it is you desire to hunt..search inside of you for that answer...if it's to try and prove a point to someone then your going at it for the wrong reasons. (not saying that you are). Also think about why it hasn't been going so well with your pops trying to teach you. Maybe he doesn't take your new interest seriously. Learn everything you can from the pro's on this site & then try again with your old man. You might surprise him. Goodluck!
