I have a couple Covert MPE5s and I like them. But I have things about it that I don't like also and want to try some other cams. So give me some opinions of others you have used. Any you love? Any I should avoid? Lets talk about em!

The Browning Range Ops is a good camera for under $100. Fast trigger, good pics, time lapse mode and HD video, etc.

Under $100?! Are we talking US dollar?

I don't have any cameras that I've bought for under $100. Let me rephrase that, I bought a couple through Amazon for under 100 but with card points so don't count. I've never bought a camera with a regular price for under $100.

If I needed to buy something under $100, I'd look at used or reconditioned, probably go reconditioned first for sure. Some tha tare regular $120-$130 can sometimes be found on sale for 90'ish.

Are you talking about trail cams or cameras for filming hunts?

    I'm buying these refurbished Moultrie M-100 & M-8XT for under $100 now.
Moultrie Special Offers - Cameras, Feeders and Accessories

Actually I bought their refurbished M-80 for $54 a while back.

These are great because their small and take 8-AA batteries so you can use the Lithium batteries in them and they'll last forever.

Anything in the covert lineup. The MP-E5 can usually be found for under 100 if my memory serves me right. I have three of those which have outperformed any of my 150-225 dollar cameras from other brands.

Yes trail cameras. Im buying like 10, so not buying higher end models. Wildgame used to make several good ones under 100 but not sure their current line up. Im not looking for great cameras, just have to cover more land them my current 6 cameras can do. The MPE5 im not happy with the night pictures and I cannot figure out how to take it off 2 picture burst which drives me nuts. Day time pics are great with it though, just not what I want for this project.

If you call Moultrie you can get those M-80's for $55 refurbished.
Good luck. It sound like have so much land to cover is a great problem to have.

Definitely better range at night with my primos blackout for night pics. Its more then twice the price though. For 100 bucks your going to have a draw back or two. If your buying 10 cams cmonsta and they outperform the MPE5 at around the same price let us know because I would be buying them as well!

go with the MPe5s. can you post up your nighttime pics? mine take great night time pics. but i have noticed if i had it set up in a wide open spot, the night pics wouldn't be as good. they do good with a back drop for the IR to shine off of. as far as the 2 shot burst, when you click menu, go down to b,c,d and click ok. it should go from A-H to whichever you choose, H (b-H etc.)

Someone mentioned the m-80 refurbished. I love my m-80. A year and 2 months on my battery life on average, and it has been in the woods since I got it 3 years ago. If you can get it under 100 it's a steal!

I only use Coverts and really like the MPE5 but I don't see the point of telling him to get those cameras when he already said he has some and doesn't want to buy any more. Good luck finding the right cameras for you.

I bought a D-55 on Moultries website for 29.99 a couple months ago. Really reliable white flash camera.

Sorry cmonsta. Did not realize you where the one who started the thread earlier when I was posting. The pictures where not to try and persuade you to buy more of something you already had. I was posting to show that you where right in saying they do not take the best night pics for the person who started the thread.... which was you when I did not realize that.
