Illinois question

    Hello there fellow hunters. I wanted to ask if anyone from Illinois has ever hunted Lowden miller in Orehon il. It's an hour and a half for me but i dont have any options this season. Thanks.

    I guess no one has ever hunted there.

    been there but never hunted.. there is parking and sign in sheets ,and maps ..I think there was about 5 different areas to park maybe more..sorry can not be more help..borders rock river..with castle rock on the other side of river..

    Thanks. I think ill go check it out. Its an hour and a half for me but i dont have many options this season.

    you may want to allow time to check lowden and castle rock on other side of river..

    I hunted Lowden & Castle rock about 6-7yrs ago. Lowden was too crowded for me the last couple of years I was out there. I started hunting castle rock & saw a lot more deer. Castle rock has some good bucks but you better be ready for a long hike in & even longer drag out if you get one.

    I had a lease on rt 2 with my dad in Oregon all throughout high school. The quarterback for Belvedere was in the paper twice for shooting monsters out of lowden miller, we talked at a walmart when we were ironically buying 20 gauge shells for squirrel- to go hunt at lowden miller! haha, first name is troy I'm sure you could probably find the article. I saw a real nice 150" when I hunted there, theres a ton of deer in Oregon. Our lease was nothing special and it wasn't more than 4 miles from Lowden, it might be worth your while
