Im not into baiting nor i normally do it, But after not seeing any deer for the last 2 weeks i finally went and put corn out in front of my stand. I have hunted hard but only good winds and nice mornings when deer are normaly on their feet. The deer run is always covered in tracks but i cant seem to get em in during daylight. So i poured out corn and am gonna put my trail cam out this is my first and last time i'm gonna do this i feel kinda guilty. Kinda like im cheating lol.

    Just make sure you're legal.

I don't see or have any problems with using corn or bait for cameras...or mineral. I would feel bad hunting over it.

No reason to feel guilty. Baiting never guarantees a kill and I can assure you of that

No one is going to force you to sit over that corn, there still is a chance for redemption;)

Don't feel guilty dude. You still have to get a deer within bow range without them detecting you, Draw back on it without getting busted, and put a kill shot on it... Corn doesn't do anything but give deer a reason to MAYBE come by your stand. Gotta do what you gotta do.

Well, it's your choice, it's legal in KS and many do it. I don't know that it's all that far apart from hunting a small crop field or food plot as far as that goes. I target food sources all the time....ALL THE TIME.

Just be sure to post pics of any big suckers!

If legal no big deal. No different than sitting in a food plot or setting up on a hot stand of white oaks. Hunting a food source is hunting a food source so don't fret as long as it's legal. I have much better action on corn very early season and late season. Right now they will pass up corn for acorns and other fall mast might want to locate fall mast and hunt that.

THIS X1000! Don't feel guilty and it is not baiting. It is putting out food for a deer to find. Hunting near a food plot is the same thing. A FOOD PLOT IS FOOD THAT WAS PLANTED/PUT THERE FOR THE DEER TO EAT! The same as putting out corn or any other feed. It just takes longer for the "bait" from food plots to show up. Good Luck and I hope it works for you!

Honestly, what's different from me planting a small corn crop or apple tree specifically to draw deer into an area compared to constantly pouring a bag of corn? It's the same thing. It's not a food source that would naturally be there without your help so heck if it's legal, get after it.

Any white oaks in the area .. I'm in Mass and our season doesn't start till Monday 20th . I have a cluster of white oaks ( last year no acorns this year loaded ) I have 2 cuddys on the area and and I was able to check them twice mid day during heavy rains (normally wouldn't) and it's like " crack " to them lol ... They are slamming the white oaks !!!! ... Anyone know the crop rotation of white oaks ??? Good luck brother ...
