On a side note, anyone ever use dead down wind bar soap? Usually just go with scent killer , but this stuff is making me break out in hives bad!

I've been using Dead Down Wind for a couple of years. I've had pretty good success with it.

I guess this isn't my year. I shot a doe on Saturday morning and hit her high. I waited an hour to start looking and found some blood then it would disappear and then I would walk 200 yards and find it again. Well long story short I looked from 9 to 3 yesterday and I got up this morning and looked for 8 to 10 and then I ran out of blood. I feel sick to my stomach I am pretty sure she will survive. That was the first one I got on film with the epic camera.

Sounds like you just shot in no man's land. She'll be fine after a month of healing. Probably see her being chased by a big boy in November. Good luck.

Sounds right to me the "dead zone" below the spine and above the lungs.
Was there fat on the arrow?
Usually if u hit there it's like giving them a body piercing.

The arrow had good blood on it all the way to the nock and one of the vanes fell off. I am thinking about switching to the killzones. Do they fly quieter than the Rage. I am shooting muzzys now and have shot rage in the past.

The huge benefit to a killzone is the spring retaining clip.
Try fly great and have been really good for me.
I do also use a 50 grain brass insert in my arrows so I get a greater FOC
If u watch the Dow video from Wisconsin and pause it at the shot u can see my arrow cartwheel after passing thru her.
I am a mech blade guy and always will be.
How many pounds are u shooting and what draw do u have

I am shooting 70 pounds and 28 or 29 inches. I think I am going to order some Killzones. I like the cut on contact broad heads but I don't think they leave a good blood trail.

We need a few more does on our board fellas
We can't forget we can get a good jump with 550 points in does unless anyone else is in a buck only area

I'm going out after a buck that disappeared and just showed up on the tinks scrape. He's been in there in daylight and with this rain ending I hope he shows up tonight. No doe kills for me just yet. I call him g3 [IMG][IMG][IMG]

Well guys looks like I'm going to try to get out all day Friday and Saturday again this week.
The good news is there's been a lot of buck activity on our section of the farm.
The bad news is they're calling for a west northwest wind or a straight northwest wind which is not good for most of the area that I'm hunting.
But if I'm able to connect on a buck he will be at least 125 inches or better for our team.
