wait to catch him in his stand and then call law enforcement, if he doesn't listen to your request in the note.

    Good Luck, Trespassers suck!

First call the landowner, find out if they let anyone else hunt. If not , tell them about the stand and ask if they could call the DNR about it.

Do everything by the law.... get them arrested/cited and you will not have a problem again

Agreed, if you don't own it there isn't much you can do. If you catch him in the stand and the landowner can get back there I would let them 2 sort it out. I hunt my family land and if I were to catch someone trespassing id prolly take their stand and put it up where I wanted it, to me that is the risk trespassers take.. but you are in a hard spot because you don't own the land. Maybe the landowner will take the stand, have you taken him back there?

I would ask the land owner, then take it from there and handle it on my own. I would not bust the landowners chops to much about it either or you might find yourself without a spot too....if you turn hunting permission into a pain in the *** for the landowner ...well then that's an easy fix for him.

There's a very simple question you must ask the landowner besides if anyone has permission besides you. That question is, "would you be willing to prosecute a trespasser?" If the answer is no or they are not sure, your probably going to be out of luck. You cannot prosecute someone for trespassing unless you are the landowner, so unless the landowner tells you that he is willing to prosecute, you really don't have a leg to stand on with the law.

I think as long as we are breathing while on stand they can smell us.

I bought the smoker and thought is was a great idea. I smoked my back pack real good the night before my hunt and put it right into a scent bag. The next morning I couldn't smell any smoke on it at all. Smoked my cloths the next two hunts and got busted by everything that came in downwind. Third hunt I put some "Acorn Rage" in my scent bags the night before and shot an 8 pt the next morning but it came in upwind.

Again, if your breathing, they can smell you.

LOL. No worries. Just thought if it was something you wanted to share, you might want to put it with right subject. And congrats on the 8pt
