Those Lobsters look awesome, gotta say I'm jealous.

Off to the NW with my wife this week to celebrate our 20th anniversary. A backpacking adventure like we used to do when we were first married only this time with a black card to add a little comfort. Once I get back I'll get serious about deer hunting.

Good luck out there guys, hunt safe.

IMPORTANT REMINDER. Things are starting to feel a little more like deer season out there. Remember to post 2 photos with you, your bow, and deer in them. Your points will not count with only one pic. It would be a good idea to reread through the rules again so you don't forget some required info when posting up a kill. If we leave out any required info the contest officials want us to go back and edit the original entry and not start a new entry. Thanks and good luck every one.

    well..... I missed!!

had one wind someone else, not a monster by any means, i think an small 8 ptr. came running in, and stopped at 20 yards. behind a tree... i waited for him to take a step and when he did I released.... and sounded like al hell broke loose. I guess my arrow hit a branch I didn't see cause it stuck in a tree about 20" behind him. at least it was a clean miss.... maybe next time. sorry fellas!

on a more positive note I was able to get out and check a food plot I planted (kinda late in the year) and it's growing good... hopefully that will give me a place to sit in a week or two when I can get out again. just accpeted a new job, so around november i'll have more time to hunt!!

Well, didn't see anything that night. Made a mock scrape on the way out, hopefully something hits that. I should be out all weekend. Not sure on mornings or afternoons yet, but there is a huge front moving through today. Should be great hunting this weekend!

Beautiful morning but I didn't see any deer, cameras show they are out there though. I was surprised to find all the crops still standing, hopefully they come out in the next week or so.

went to move my stand and the ladder pole busted on me half way down, luckily had the safety stuff on and i didn't fall far... don't know what happened but one section is busted all to heck. so.. moved to a different tree. was a little shook up so didn't' mess around went up, set everything in the tree planning on coming back after this mornings hunt to tighten it all up. wouldn't you know it, 3 deer walked right under the stand... LOL (my other stand is about 80 yards away) . oh well, lesson learned. on top of all that I still didnt get it squared away. at least I saw 3 deer, all does but hey, I am happy.

Thank goodness for safety gear! Glad it came out ok.

Went through pictures a little bit last night and it looks like we have 3-4 small bucks and a hand full of does, the biggest buck might go 120. Hopefully the rut brings something more exciting into the area.
