170s would be just fine TJ, quit messing around an center punch that sucker lol. The weekend finished up about like it started lots of young deer up an moving around. I did have prob a 140ish 10 point at last light last night but I think he was only a 3 year old. No pics of him either. I'll be back out Wednesday morning.

REMINDER!!! There has already been drama on the score card thread. DO NOT forget you have to have TWO pictures of the DEER, BOW AND YOU!! Plus date and time of kill, other info such as gear is optional. Break down of the score is required for buck entries!! Video of the kill, recovery, etc is also acceptable. Thanks guys and good luck!

    Every year...

...just to lighten things up I think our team should take about 20 consecutive shots with our deer/bow (or whatever the max is that a post will allow):)

Good luck team - keep me updated on every hunt, I do enjoy keeping tabs. Oct calendar is looking dismal for me...going from a guy that never missed opening day or opening weekend...to last year and this year maybe getting one sit in Oct, it's rough. Good news is I'll be firing arrows like crazy when I do get out there...still very likely that I post 2 deer to scorecard.

Taking 10yr old son on Saturday morning for his first youth gun hunt - excited as heck about that! (but no time to tote my own bow as I have to be back to coach football at 10:00am that morning)

Who's going to be next on our scorecard?

    Hey team,
My buddy and I finally launched launched an instagram page to be able to document all of our hunts and share our experiences with the world. If you have an instagram account it would be amazing if you guy would go over to our page (Back Porch Outfitters) and give us a follow. Greatly appreciated!

    Matt

My bad...I think I only saw your second post on scorecard that only had the two pics...surfing on a little phone is not always the best:)

Again - nice job on the doe! Hope the team gets some more kills rolling in late Oct into Nov...always enjoy the pics and stories.

Well...today couldn't have gone much better, my son got his first deer, great shot and was super excited...and early enough to still rush back to town and coach my other son's football game.

The coolest part was as I'm gutting the deer my son says "when I was 6 I used to say I would eat the heart of the first deer I got...can we?"...so I fried up some deer heart tonight...and also sliced/fried up the loins for family...just a great fall day.

I'm still here boys. Got thursday, Friday and part of saturday stolen last week by an out of town wedding. I'm in a tree just about every night now.

    Keep on doing it.

Haven't been on for a while or in the woods. Unfortunately I missed a doe but fortunately I didn't wound her, just misjudged the shot. First deer I missed in three years. But next week Ill be out with a camera man hunting or filming, letting the woods sit until then to let the bucks settle in during the lull. Hopefully they'll be chasing soon!

Anyone else getting out this week?

I'm still on standby...:( We host an annual fall party and food drive this weekend at our house...to help stock a local food pantry, 7th year we've done this. A lot of fun and do hay rack rides for kids, bon fire, chili...but of course means no hunting. Still holding out hope I can get out for quick hunt weekend of 25th...

    We're due for another score!

That sounds awesome Matt! I may get out this weekend but we'll see what the trail cams show Fri before I decide. I may take my daughter out instead. All depends on whether or not any of my shooters are showing in daylight recently outside of the bedding area.
