what do folks use for ground blind chairs? the best I've found thus far is a 7 dollar brown plastic lawn chair from discount store. Its light weight and while just a little cumbersome to carry in, can sit comfortably for hours on end. I've tried the little tripods chairs and all the other stuff that are real easy to carry in but just aren't comfortable.
The redhead blackout chair is the best I have found. I used it this year for turkey hunting and it has been the best tripod chair I have owned. Comfortable, breathable, and relatively light weight. Truly a great chair. Sent from my IPhone 5S.
I jus use a little camo military stool. It is lightweight and east to attach on my pack to move in and out of the woods.
I love that Blackout chair. We had a long thread about this back in March or April. Do a search and you should be able to fine it. Sent from my iPhone 5S using Tapatalk
I use a Primos Double Bull Magnum stool, which I like a lot but that Black Out chair looks like it could be even better if it swivels.
Bring this thread back to life as turkey season approaches. How is the Blackout been holding up for those that purchased? It gets quite a bit of mixed reviews.
ditto.. I have sat in one for 8hrs at a time... the problem with the plastic lawn or patio chairs is they have a nasty habit of breaking unless they are on perfectly level ground. Rather then those try the folding camp chairs...I just cant shoot a bow out of one because you tend to sit too low and the arm rests get in the way..
I have 2 Primos Double Bull Magnum stools. They are OK. Not sure if I could set in them a full 8 hours though! Always looking for that next best thing!
I've never been sold on the blackout chairs enough to buy them for clients to sit in. I've seen 7-8 of them in camp that guys brought on their own, I know for a fact that three of them didn't make it through the first 3 days of the hunt. A couple had the feet break and then they would sink into the ground in one direction. Another one broke right at the spot where the chair swivels. I didn't get to see or hear how the other 3-4 did. But for me, if three brand new ones can't make it for 3 days... I'm OUT!
I was lucky to plant my *** for a few days in the new millennium chair they released this year. I think you'd be hard pressed to find better.
I usually just used a cheap chair from ****s. But recently I won a redneck hunting blind chair so I am excited to try it out.
that $7 brown plastic lawn chair is still the favorite. Used a blackout three legged stool after seeing it here and broke a foot after very little use. For non-ground blind hunting I have a small 3 legged stool from ****s, cost 20 bucks 5 years ago, that I use for everything from bow still-hunting to dove and is probably the most useful piece of equipment found in the last ten years. only down side is my butt can't handle 6 hours on it.
I have been looking at the same one. When the Dixie Deer Classic rolls around in late February, I will get to sit in one. If I like it, I am buying it!
