Sorry fellas. Haven't been checking into this contest as much as I should. I scouted out a public land mountain last weekend that has some good bucks on it. Put a camera out so we will see what we get. Been scouting some other public areas out but have gotten nothing of interest on camera. The main property that I will be hunting won't be scouted other than the occasional camera check. I know what's around and usually no shooters show up until late October so I'll be gunning for a early season doe.
Thought I should give a quick update. So I missed the first couple weekends of bow season due to salmon fishing but I got out this weekend and man was it good. I ended up seeing 24 deer (23 doe and 1 buck) and getting a couple nice 8pt's on my trail cam which I don't usually see till the 4th week of October. I came to full draw on one but when I went to aim at her I saw my peep was twisted and once I let down they started to play with each other and trotted away into a close field. After coming from the pro shop an hour ago, the guy told me that my D-loop moved and that it may happen time to time. I was happy that's all it was and that i actually thought it was the problem before the guy said it. I hope ill see some more come Sunday. Anyone else get out there?
Wow, forgot all about this thread. I have doe down, but no bucks worth shooting at this point. Hope everyone's season is going well.
