The topo picture called "SC topo" is where we are talking about going Friday, mostly to see how the terrain is and how hard/easy the hike in will be.

The countdown had begun for me. 23 days & counting. I have had cameras & feeders (baiting is legal in ND) out since early June & have 2 bucks on my early season list to try & get in velvet. I have 2 buck tags & 3 doe tags so I have a busy season ahead.

I'm new and not sure exactly what everyone is checking in for but I'm about the furthest west you can get, besides Hawaii. Central CA Valley just north of SAC. We only have black tail here and the season starts 8/16.

Checking in is letting the team know you are going to participate. Welcome aboard! Glad to see some one else from the west coast.

Checking in , from Alberta, season starts on the 5th and I took the month of September off to pattern and hopefully tag out on my 200+ buck that I've been chasing for 2 years. That'll give me a buck from all sections from the 100's to 200 inches.I truly think I'll do it this year, haven't had this much time to hunt ever. Got all of November off also for the rutt, wohoo!I have 4 bucks that'll score 200+ inches that I'm on so I really can't over hunt them as I have multible stands on the 5 properties I hunt. Be cool to get to know somemore new people from the site.So in September I'll be after Pronghorn , Elk Mulie's and WHitetails, full slate, last week of September will have me after Moose, middle 2 weeks of Sept is for ELk & antelope and opening week of Sept is for giant whitey's .

Dang! I need to move where you live. I'd love to hunt all of that in one season.

Got my pack ready for tomorrow. Be leaving the house around 7. Siri says the high will be 88 tomorrow. Hopefully the weather starts to cool down from the summer heat.

It's raining at the moment, been mid 80's most the summer though.

Very nice. It's cooling down to the 80s now. July was triple digits most of the time

That would be rough, I had to play baseball in triples this year and it was rough

You have different tags for that? Our archery tags last a whole season

There's an early archery and a late. We can hunt with a bow during rifle season, but there are too many rifle hunters to risk it.
