Ive got a few fruit trees in the backyard that did good, last year, nothing on the this year so I put the blame on myself. The farm has about 40 wild apple trees, all pretty old, that were going crazy last year. This year?? Not one apple! curious if anyone in my area is seeing the same ****, I'm thinking the late frost or maybe...... bees.
The farm where I hunt had trees LOADED with apples last year... this year they are empty! It's just plain sickening looking at leaves and not seeing any fruit on them.
Here is a tip a old guy showed me, go to a auto parts store that turns rotors and drums and get some cuttings/shavings and spread a pound around the outer perimeter the iron will help fruit trees. Don't think it matters but I think the fall or winter should be the best time.
Believe it or not I have found gray squirrels eating the hell out of mine at home. They wiped out one dwarf.
Same thing here in Wisconsin. Tons of apples last year. I checked a big apple tree along side one of my food plots last weekend and not one apple. Sent from my SCH-I535 using Tapatalk
Apple trees were loaded last year (prop is in NW IL) but this year not so much. Every other year it seems.
