I have nothing to contribute except to say I did legs this morning.........and I cant believe this thread is still going........see what you started woman !
When I get in the gym and put my headphones in I'm more focused on what I'm doing than other people. I do laugh from time to time at some people!
Well I've been in the gym for 10 years off and on lifted very seriously through college, almost changed my major from business to get into strength and conditioning. But with kids and a mortgage i'm lucky if my member ship gets used twice a month now... I started off the right way when I was probably 15 with good training partners (world record Raw weight lifting champion a few different times) but I've had my fair share of injuries from bad form, mostly caused by pushing for that last rep or pushing for a new max. With that said, watching mr. professional in the gym doing dead lifts that doesn't have a clue what he is doing, puts me back in rehab!! sometimes you just have to feel it out, if its a person that you can tell really doesn't know what they're doing a little advise isn't usually a bad thing, but when mr. pro is about to blow his back out with his cut off shirt ripped all the way down to the waist line, you just gotta let him learn. I was definitely better at shooting a bow when I was lifting regularly... gotta get back there some how!
Maybe we should rename it into "Did you lift today?" "Justiiiiiiiiiiiiiin!!!!!" That's what I do to but in between sets I sit there and watch people. Especially on leg day the "rest" is longer. Speaking of headphones... Just lost my Apple earbuds. Thought about Beats but looking at the quality and putting them on my head (looking like an idiot) I decided to get some Bose Earbuds instead. Most amazing sound!
You could rename it, do you even lift bro? I don't hit the gym but am refocusing on running and progressive calisthenics. I want to have fun working out and doing body weight stuff is more enjoyable for me. Probably comes from wrestling in high school, back in the day
When im back at school i work out regularly, I do cardio and lifting on different days. I think Do you even lift bro would be a great name
Yes, leg day again and throw in some Abs. Made my mind up today, Im backing off the Beer for awhile. I have gotten a little flumpy lately and have been cheating on sweets. Gave up sweets again also. Going to start doing cardio again to. currently I vary from 206-210 shooting for 195 and a slimmer waistling back to 33"
Ran this morning, gonna do some calisthenics this evening and again tomorrow Sent from my RM-845_nam_vzw_100 using Tapatalk
I just back into it about a month ago. It had been about 8 years since I had lifted back when I was still playing baseball. What are you guys doing for lifting? To ease back into it, I started with more of an all around style workout each day for biceps, triceps, shoulders, back and chest. Ab stuff every day afterwards, and I mix in legs 2 times a week as well. I've gotten to the point where I'm increasing weight on my lifts consistently now, and I'm not really too sore after either. So I'm wondering if I should switch it up and start with more of a different muscle specific routine each day?
If you haven't, check out bodybuilding.com, they have lots of different workouts. I'm currently doing Kris Gethin's 12 week trainer.
