How often do you check your trail cameras this time of year? I average about every two weeks checking mine and wonder if that is to often. Just wondering what your thoughts were.
I was going once a week but im going to start going two week intervals and refreshing mineral every other check (once a month) until later summer then ill slow down on mineral
Nope I feed every day so my smell equals food, I feed the does and fawns and they stay close and the bucks come every November it works pretty well.
I worried I might be checking too much but by the looks of things I'm not checking any more than most. I replenish corn every check and mineral when needed.
Property 1 Every 10 days 1700 pics normally Property 2 Every 6 Weeks 500 pics (New property and I want to keep scent to a minimum)
Ha, sometimes daily if I'm working at the farm. All of them in low impact areas thst I can check from an ATV. Going for a week this week, only because I'm at the beach. I've got to move a camera to one place I hunt near my house, it'll soak much longer.
I check mine every two weeks until it gets close to season then I let them sit for the whole month leading up to the season. I'm actually thinking of moving them around next time change cards, have a couple kind of close to stands and want to remove them to stay away from stands until season starts. I used to be a once every 10-14 days kind of guy. I've turned into more of a once every 30 days or "whenever I get to it" kind of guy. IMO there's no use disturbing these areas or getting chewed up my mosquitos for no reason. If the deer are there, they're there. If not, checking my cameras every few days isn't going to change that.
Every 30 days, the only one I check more frequent is the one in my yard bc I have to drive right past it when mowing my back field. I usually check it every 10-14 days when I have to mow. There's no intrusion and I don't even have to get off the mower.
