Damn nice bird, that will be one of the better birds killed in this competition this year I bet. Blind is set for the morning, talked to the farmer the other day, he said check out the back meadow... Checked it out tonight, it includes a half acre of clover and turnips!

Good news and not as good news. Good news: just bagged my first turkey ever! Not as good news: its about as opposite from Chads bird as you can get without it being a hen LOL! Not gonna score big in the record books. Stats to come later...

Congrats kris, it's the first one that counts not the size of the first one! My first bird (shotgun) was a big jake but it was all it took to get the bug!

Bringing my 4 year old out to the blind in the morning! Been a year in the making, he's pretty excited to say the least, but not as excited as I am! My blind is on the smaller side, tough enough for one guy to bow hunt out of so I haven't decided if I'm going to bring the Hoyt or 12ga. Either way we're going to paint our faces and have some fun, maybe see a bird! Good luck guys

Went out this morning and got on a double bearded tom at 38 yards, spot and stalk. Unfortunately trying to film it myself wasn't going to happen so I passed. I'll be back at it in the morning, the wife is gone all week :D
