Hello my name is bill snyder my son whose 10 wants to start bow hunting with me. I'm wondering what bow would be a good starter bow for him. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I'm in the Army so i don't have a lot of extra money so no Mathews bows please. Sent from my LG-L38C using Tapatalk 2
Check out the diamond infinite edge and the bear apprentice 2. My boys are 8 and 9 and that's the two they have.
My 10 yr old son uses the Bear Apprentice II. Picked it up at Cabelas last year for $279. with sight, Whisker biscuit, set up. I'm happy with it, and my son loves it. It will grow with him. 15-27" Draw length. 15-60lbs draw weight. My older boy shoots a Mission. You can't go wrong there either. Bear® Archery Apprentice 2 Package : Cabela's
Could check out the Barnett vortex I got that for my 10 year old son works very well only this is they send you 450 grain arrows which are really heavy if you turn the bow a lot like his is. He has been shooting my Berman bowbunters about 60-70 grain s lighter and work a lot better and they are still a little heavy for but shoot better then the other ones check it out first and its only about 130 bucks too
Another vote for the Diamond Infinity Edge. I have purchased several of the previous models and will probably be buying one of my daughters one of these this summer. Super adjustable and draw weight from 5-70lbs. Comes all setup for $379 and it will grow with him for years if not a lifetime if he wants!
Mission bows are twice the quality of the diamonds IMO and shoot really nice. I use a Menace for bowfishing and love it. Another great option is the Hoyt Ignite
Bought this same bow for my 9 year old daughter & she loves it. Very easy to work on & adjust plus I'm a bowtech guy so it was an easy decision. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
